Hello Baby, I Love You! Abc's for Young Momsનમૂનો
T
is for Training
The Bible tells us to train up a child in the way they should go. and they will not depart from it.
Just as an athlete trains for competition, so we need to train up our children. Training is hard work requiring sacrifice, diligence, focus, and time.
A lot of this training needs to happen in our own hearts and lives in order for us to be able to train our children. We all learn best when we have to teach someone else.
Discipline is easier for some than it is for others but it is good for all of us. Children are programmed to learn from interacting with other people and are highly influenced by their mothers. Infants are so easily engaged with their mother's face and voice. I love what one physician said, "The dance of facial expressions, tone of voice, and body language between a toddler and parent is not only beautiful, but it's also so complex that researchers have to record these interactions on video and slow them down just to see everything that's going on."
Being a new mom is a great opportunity to learn yourself so that you can train your child. Children will learn what they live. Be inspired to learn by this don’t be frightened by it (we all are so aware of our faults). Think of this time as an opportunity to grow. Train yourself in your relationship with the Lord, train your heart, train your speech, train your daily habits. As you do you will be preparing yourself to train your children as well!
