Real Hope for Troubled Timesનમૂનો
Real Hope and Real Peace
The world attempts to establish peace by eliminating the external problems that cause distress and anxiety. Jesus—the Holy One [the Christ]— promises to provide internal peace to everyone who believes in him, despite the external problems that trouble them.
By trusting in Jesus—even though you may be surrounded by conflict, trouble, and uncertainty— you can have real hope and real peace!
God encourages you to pray
Prayer and God’s word are inseparable—they go together. In and through his word, God speaks to you.
In prayer, you speak to God.
The following passages—the Lord’s prayer, a morning prayer, and selected readings from the book of Psalms—will provide you with guidance and encouragement!
The Lord’s prayer
[Jesus began to teach]
“This is how you should pray:
Our Father in heaven,
let your name be kept holy.
Let your kingdom come.
Let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us our daily bread today.
Forgive us as we forgive others.
Don’t allow us to be tempted.
Instead, rescue us from the evil one.”
–Matthew 6:9-13
A morning prayer
Heavenly Father, thank you for keeping all harm and danger away from me last night. I pray that you will keep me from sinning or doing any evil so that all my thoughts, words, and actions will please you. I place my body, soul, and everything that belongs to me in your care. Let your holy angels be with me so that my enemy the devil won’t be able to influence me. All this I pray in the name of Jesus Christ your dear Son. Amen.
I love you, O LORD, my strength. You are my rock, my fortress, and my Savior!
