Restoration Is Beckoning
I believe that restoration is a longing shared by every person who’s ever lived. Because, while life offers us few certainties, pain is one of them. Loss is another. And if there’s one thing I would point to that we’re all longing for deep down — restoration would be it.
Even Jesus experienced this. Both the Gospels of Matthew and Luke record His parable of the lost sheep, how God, like a Shepherd, would leave His flock if only one sheep got lost.
God’s desire has always been to restore us to Himself. It’s why He sacrificed His Son, Jesus. The question for us is, when life brings hardship and loss, when we long for restoration, what should be our response?
The answer isn’t an easy one, but it is one filled with hope. First Peter 5:10 encourages us, The God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you (ESV).
Yes, loss and pain may exist in this life, but so also does the presence of Jesus. And He will Himself restore you.
Personal Reflection
What have you lost that you need God’s restoration for today? Pause for a moment and be still. Know that HE is God. Reflect further on 1 Peter 5:10. I believe God wants to give you a greater revelation of His love and restorative power today.

About this Plan
Culture often dictates that our worth, path, and identity are determined by our race, gender, the things we’ve done, and the things that have been done to us. Over the next 30 days, we will discover what it looks like to be bold, transparent, and confront our shame.
