Me and Who Else

DAY 7 OF 7

Grace is a long-term plan

As per the experts, it takes 10,000 hours of practice for an athlete to gain the proficiency required to be great at a sport. I have, on this day, been a Christian for over 200,000 hours.

One would imagine I’d be much better at it. But here I am still learning, still falling, still struggling.

Every now and then something happens and I’m reminded how much I have to be more like Jesus. I sometimes judge people for being foolish from a single post on their social media. That’s not Jesus-like.

But hey, I can take some consolation in the fact that Paul—THE Paul—at the tail end of his life and ministry tells us “... not that I have already taken hold...”.

That’s one of the many things that makes grace truly amazing. Grace wasn’t just provided to put me on a new road. It’s been provided for at every twist, every turn, every speed bump, every u-turn.

I hope you’re enjoying your journey with Jesus as much as I am. There is no greater adventure. No greater purpose than to live for Him and with Him. He is with you for the long haul.

“God with us”, remember?

“To the end of the world”, remember?

Remember grace, my friends. Grace always remembers you.

About this Plan

Me and Who Else

One of the things that stays constant in all seasons of life is knowing or wanting to know that we’re not alone in our life experiences. There’s someone else going through something similar or some version of it, so you can take courage. You may even be the somebody a hurting person needs.
