The Nature Of The Propheticનમૂનો
Impartial
But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. (James 3:17)
We all have preferences. There are certain foods we prefer, certain clothing styles we like more, and we enjoy spending time with some people more than others. Having preferences is normal, after all, we are all uniquely and wonderfully made!
But in order to carry the nature of the prophetic, we must be impartial, or unbiased, in the prophetic. Being impartial means that we are unprejudiced and without favouritism, treating everyone equally. This requires us to be unbiased in how we express the prophetic. But it also requires us to not judge how, when or where we receive the revelation from heaven.
There is no formula for how the wisdom which comes from heaven will be imparted. In the Bible, words of prophecy were delivered through men and women, through writing on the wall, through a burning bush, and even through a donkey! God used whatever means He thought fit to speak to His people.
There are countless other examples in the Word of the different ways in which God speaks to His people. And the same is true for us personally today. We must never become biased in the way we expect God to speak to us or to His people! Let’s also be impartial in the delivery and expression of our prophetic gifts, steering clear of any favouritism or preferential treatment.
God’s impartiality is simple: that every person has the same opportunity to have relationship with the Father through Jesus Christ. This opportunity is the same for every person regardless of status, income, upbringing, or nationality. Through Jesus we can all come equally to the Father! This is the impartial nature of God.
