The disciples were so much like us, each wanting to be greater than the other. Jesus helped them get perspective when He told them if they really wanted to be first, they needed to become the servant of all. In the Bible, the way up is down. If you want to find your life, you must lose it by putting God first. Jesus illustrates His point by setting a child in their midst and telling them to accept God’s truth with a childlike sense of wonder. Children trust and believe, and we must do the same when God tells us these things.
