Why is it important to pray for our children?

Praying as a team for the needs of your children will make a big difference in their lives. Over the years, we have been enriched when we pray and ask God to work in our children’s lives. We have prayed for each of our children concerning every issue imaginable from the time they were born on. Most parents’ prayers for their children include:

* Safety and health issues

* A growing understanding of God’s love

* An increasing ability to identify sin and differentiate right from wrong

* The knowledge of God’s forgiveness and salvation through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ

* Protection from the evil one and his influences

* A growing knowledge of how to walk with God, hear His voice and live according to the teachings of Scripture

* Good friends who will encourage them to walk on the right paths

Of course, you should add your own petitions to this list. Praying together fervently for your children (and grandchildren) will bring innumerable blessings to your family now and provide a legacy for generations to come.
