Habakkuk – The Man Who Asked Questionsનમૂનો
Day 4: You Can Ask God Questions
Habakkuk had asked God many questions, and God had answered. Even though hard times were coming because of the sin of the people, Habakkuk now had faith. He had God’s promise about the good future that was ahead for everyone who turned back to Him.
Habakkuk ended his book of questions and answers with a song. He sang, “I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior. The Sovereign Lord is my strength.”
Everything happened just as God had told Habakkuk. The enemy Babylonians attacked and conquered God’s people. It was a sad time for the nation, but during the terrible times, Habakkuk and others with him had faith that God was going to send help. They believed His promise that, as the people turned away from their wickedness and turned back to God, there were happy times ahead. God would rescue them.
We all go through difficult times and sometimes they are very hard to understand. You may be going through a hard time right now, that you don’t understand. Maybe someone you love very much has gotten sick or even passed away. Maybe there are sad things in your life that you don’t understand.
Did you know you can ask God questions, just like Habakkuk did?
God doesn’t mind questions. But, there is a special ingredient you must mix in with your questions. That ingredient is faith!
You see, even though Habakkuk had many questions, he never questioned who God was. He believed that God was Lord over everything. Habakkuk was just trying to understand what he couldn’t understand on his own.
Let’s pray: Dear God, I believe in you. Help me understand the hard things in my life. In Jesus name, amen.
