Her Story: Encouragement for Women in Businessનમૂનો
Day 2: Our Real Purpose
For generations many have wondered how to find their purpose in life. As Christian business owners, we are always exploring the intersection of work and impact. Is a person's purpose reserved for ministry, and is discovering it as quick and glamorous as it seems on social media? These are frequently asked questions, and rightfully so. After all, who does not want to feel like their life matters?
The answers to these questions are not always neatly wrapped. Our society glamorizes purpose and swaps the meaning interchangeably with success. It would appear that those with a massive social media following, tons of material possessions, and connections in high places are the only ones living out their life's purpose. However, when we read scriptures like Jeremiah 29:11-13 and Luke 22:26-27, we can begin to question this type of thinking.
The truth is that our purpose is not a destination, but a commitment to ongoing obedience in secular, business, and ministry settings. True purpose results in deep fulfillment that comes when we are aligned with the will of God in every phase and corner of life.
Reflection Questions:
1. What is my purpose in my current stage of life?
2. Is social media or the word of God shaping my actions and expectations?
