Don't Panic When Others Say Awful Things About Your or Do Terrible Things to You

I know you have been surprised and hurt by the words and actions of individuals who did terrible things to you. The world is filled with people who care only about themselves. Many people talk about God, even though their hearts may be far from Me. When I was being crucified, only a few were grieving. Most people were cheering. And yet I asked My Father to forgive them. I chose to die for them. The world hated Me then, and those who love the world’s values often hate My followers today.

When you are persecuted because of your relationship with Me, don’t despair. Instead, rejoice, because your reward will be great. You are sharing in My suffering. Even though they think they are hurting you, they are enabling you to store up treasures in heaven. These treasures come from truth, righteousness, love, mercy, and following Me. And someday you will hear Me welcome you into My Father’s kingdom saying, “Well done, my good servant!”
