The King & I: Born for a Time as Thisનમૂનો
What does God say about you?
Did you know that God had positive thoughts about you before your parents thought up your name or the doctor identified your gender? Before your parents met, God orchestrated the perfect DNA sequence or the perfect combination of genes needed to create you for His purpose. Before your first cry, the reveal party, or the baby pictures, God chose you. The odds of you being born are about 1 in 400 trillion. The likelihood of being struck by lightning is 1 in 3,000. The likelihood of winning the lottery and hitting the six-number jackpot is 1 in 13,983,816. Thus, it is easier to get struck by lightning and win the lottery several times than it is to be born. You are an absolute miracle but somewhere along the line, we forgot we were blessed to be here and began living robotic lives, ignoring God, without intent or purpose. Yet, before you were born, God formed you in the womb, called you by name, and said I choose you.
These nine affirmations will help keep you encouraged and uplifted. Reference them as often as possible. Repeat them to yourself often, write them on your mirror, jot them down in the morning before you leave the house, and at night before you go to sleep. It is important to know that you matter and have a purpose. Once you commit these to memory, they will be easy to share with anyone who is sad, angry, or scared.
- I am not a mistake. I am chosen and I matter.
- Not only am I chosen, but I also have a purpose and a destination.
- God has always and will always protect me.
- I am His and He is mine.
- Nothing can separate me from God’s love.
- God's love towards me is greater than life itself.
- I am chosen, not forsaken. I am who He says I am.
- God wants to work in me and through me for His glory.
- God has not forgotten me. I may be nothing to some, but I am everything to Him.
About this Plan
There are times where the only voice I want to hear is God's telling me it will be "okay." Really, I'm sure that "okay" isn't what He'll say. His response will be more like "be light, be salt." First, He'll start with a reminder of who He is and what He thinks, says, and feels about me. Then He'll tell me to preach His Kingdom to all the nations. Ready?
