How to Recognize a Real Manનમૂનો
Day Three – Never Let Up the Fight
Although work on the walls of Jerusalem had begun, the wall was only half finished, and their enemies wouldn’t let up. The constant bombardment was wearing the people down. But Nehemiah was challenging them again, this time not only to keep building but also to fight—to fight for their families, themselves, their homes, their nation, and their heritage!
Nehemiah urged the people to remember who they were—God’s chosen people—and that He was on their side. God would empower them to complete their assignment if they would trust Him to fight alongside them, to fight for them.
They did not have to give in to fear. Neither do we.
The enemy uses past hurts, wrong beliefs about God’s plan for you, and wrong attitudes that prevent you from seeing areas that God would have you fortify. The negative junk you allow inside your wall chips away at and weakens you and your relationships, starting with your relationship with God.
If a man’s personal walls are in disrepair, the enemy is going to exploit him. This is why you see men committed to church and involved in Christian programs who appear to be doing all the right things, but because of broken down walls and temporary lapses, they are dominated by the flesh and its strongholds during the week.
Everything you do as a man flows from within your heart—the way you love God, your wife, and your kids; how you conduct yourself on the job; how you influence those in your circle—everything. Guard your heart! Build a wall around it.
