Dare To Liveનમૂનો
Dare to start small
We saw yesterday that daring to ask, daring to come out of your shell, daring to take territory, is much less simple than it seems to be...Fortunately, God doesn’t ask us to be seasoned conquerors all at once…
“‘You don’t have enough faith,’ Jesus told them. ‘I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible.’” (the Bible, Matthew 17:20, NLT)
What matters isn’t so much the size of the faith, but what it contains. A mustard seed is miniscule, but even a tiny seed like this grows into a mighty tree over time: “...‘It is the smallest of all seeds, but it becomes the largest of all garden plants; it grows long branches, and birds can make nests in its shade.’” (Mark 4:31-32, NLT)
In the end, your faith even benefits those who just pass through your life, who will be able to find shade under your branches.
So how do you start? Well, by starting small. Before the mountain, the hill. To strengthen our ability to dare, we can, for example:
- Ask our neighbor for the egg we’re short of to bake our cake,
- Ask the waiter for a table closer to the window,
- Ask to try on all kinds of shoes without feeling obligated to buy anything in the end.
We have nothing to lose if we face rejection in these situations. But the act of doing so allows us to take our place, to advance towards greater opportunities.
Today, I invite you to ask God’s help for each small opportunity that comes your way. I pray that you’ll be able to grasp it and that it bears fruit in your life and in the lives of others.
Let’s pray together…“Our Father, thank You for the faith You place inside of us. Thank You for this faith that can move mountains. Thank You that with You, we will dare. I will dare to take this first step to accomplish Your will, to become the person You want me to be. I’m Yours; my life is all Yours, today and forever. In Jesus’s name, amen!”
Thanks for existing!
