Being Lost Is The First Step To Getting Foundનમૂનો
Giants Fade
Scripture talks a lot about giants—and not just the literal kind. Yes, we know of the giant Goliath, but there’s also the Red Sea stretched out in front of the Israelites. The impenetrable walls of Jericho. A storm in the middle of the sea. A den of lions. While those are not giants we will ever face, we do encounter other giants mentioned in the Bible: fear—of losing status, of what others think, of death. Insecurity of being good enough, of being the right person for the job. Illness—our own or of those we love and care about. Grief over loss, infertility, and separation.
The giants we deal with may not be as physically present in our lives but they certainly hang around a lot longer than a lion or a storm. However, when we ask for God’s help, even if these giants aren’t destroyed completely or immediately, their power will fade as our relationship with Him grows deeper. His presence in our lives can overshadow even the most overwhelming situation. Like Peter walking on the waves toward Jesus, we can feel settled and secure in our spirits when we keep our eyes focused on Christ. Even if we haven’t yet made it past our giants, we can experience peace as God guides us through life. And in the meantime, we can continue praying that He will intervene—even in ways that are beyond our human understanding. He knows what we need in order to fight, and he also knows when it’s necessary to do the fighting for us as we trust in his wisdom and power.
