Reflections On The Gospel Of John નમૂનો
VISIBLE Have you ever been in a room at nighttime or in darkened conditions and at first glance everything appeared to be immaculate, with items neatly placed; a room that could be featured on the Home & Garden Television (HGTV) network as a model for others to emulate. However, when this room is later seen during the light of day with the sun shining brightly, areas of dust and dirt not previously visible are highlighted and brought to the forefront due to the power of light.
Again with no pun intended, this also sheds light on a true yet unfortunate fact for us as individuals. This fact being that many today choose to carry out their deeds in the darkness of night or absence of light, because in darkness all of the dirt, filth, and sin in our lives cannot be easily seen.
The average thief, with the keyword here being “average”, does not usually rob a bank, a store, or violate the sanctity of a person’s home during daylight hours. However, thieves generally accomplish their deeds under the concealment of darkness when there is no one around to actually see them.
Individuals perform their deeds in the dark because they are under the assumption no one will see them and there is less of a chance they will get caught; besides, sin just seems to feel better in the dark.
But no matter what we do or how far we go to cover up our deeds, God sees all and knows all. He is Omni-present (everywhere at the same time), Omniscient (all-knowing), and Omni-potent (all-powerful); nothing can be hid from Him. And when the light of His Son shines, all deeds are revealed (PSA.139.7-12).
If we truly claim to be followers of Christ and desire to imitate Him (EPH.5.1), then it is logical for us to live in the light because as Jesus Christ, the True Light lives on the inside of us, His light is bound to shine forth from deep within and begin to expose the dark recesses in our hearts and lives.
Allow the Light to shine in and through your life today so that all things can be revealed. Remember, it is light that makes all things visible!
