DAY 4
The Gift of Grace
Exodus 34:6–7; Titus 3:4–7; Ephesians 2:4–8
God will never revoke your title. Your position cannot be abdicated, because His love crowns you. No mistake or corrupted idea can keep you from God’s mercy, grace, and compassion.
Grace . . . what is it? Grace is God’s goodness and kindness toward us though we don’t deserve it. God our Savior revealed His kindness and love, He saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit. Because of His grace He made us right in His sight and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life.
You don’t have to do a thing! There is no striving. We all need to understand this, sis—it’s vital. There’s nothing you can say or do to make God love you more or love you less. Yes, even that thing—you know the thing—that thing you refuse to let go. God is awaiting you to bring it to Him so He can fling it to the pits of hell. He wants to deliver you. He wants to set you free. But you have to be able to loosen your own grip.
It’s easier said than done, especially with the enemy in your ear. Satan cunningly replays your most mortifying moments in attempts to convince you, “You can’t call yourself a Christian.” He tells you, “You’re a disgrace to God’s family.” He says, “You can’t go back to God after this.” But you can. Call the enemy out for the liar that he is. God knows how you messed up, and He also knew of all the ways you would even before creation began. Yet, He still loves and chooses you. God doesn’t get frustrated with us, nor does He await the perfect moment to punish us. God is altogether beautiful, sees our ugly wrongs, and still lovingly embraces us, giving us chance after chance to do right.
What are some of the lies Satan attempts to convince you of? How does God’s grace help you see the truth?
About this Plan
In order to flourish, it’s imperative every woman realizes her true worth. Too often, however, we are imprisoned by the world’s values rather than freed by God’s view: we are His royal daughters. In this seven-day YouVersion, former pageant queen Tarah-Lynn Saint-Elien helps women recognize the staggering gifts of our true status.
