Outside the Temple, Peter and John encounter a lame man begging for money, and Peter heals him. Peter then speaks in the Temple, explaining that Jesus, as the promised Messiah, had to suffer. Peter urges the people to repent and receive God’s forgiveness.

In biblical times, people with physical ailments were considered unclean and were not allowed to enter the Temple. How does Peter’s healing of the man at the Beautiful Gate demonstrate the power of faith in Jesus? In what ways do you experience the power of faith?

Lord Jesus, continue to guide me each day so that my faith increases. Teach me to share your love, compassion, and hope with all people. In your holy name, I pray. Amen.
