The Voices and The Choices - Part 2નમૂનો
The Voice of Anxiety
The voice of anxiety can be a sister to the voice of fear, causing the same distress, uneasiness and restlessness. It can hit us from all directions, whether it be school, work, family or other unsettling circumstances. Anxiety is another crippling voice that can leave us feeling overwhelmed, panicked, nervous and uncertain. This is no way to live. Our control freak nature feels out-of-control. Did we ever really have control anyway? So often control is truly an illusion. We lose our peace as well as our peace-of-mind. What are we doing?
As with fear, anxiety starts us on an exhausting cycle. When we feel anxious about something, we generally try to do all that is in our power to control the situation. When we can't control it, we become even more anxious. So how do we stop this downward spiral of anxious turmoil?
We must turn to the One who is in control of all things. He is Sovereign, and we are not. God holds all of our lives in His hands and is the only One who can truly calm our anxious hearts and minds. When we frantically struggle to put the pieces of our lives together on our own, we will fail. I have learned when my heart starts to palpitate with the onslaught of anxiety to STOP, DROP and WORSHIP. This breaks the reign of anxiety in my heart and transfers that spot back to my Lord who is worthy. He inhabits the praises of His people, and my anxious heart simply needs a load of His ‘inhabiting.’ I need to reframe my heart to a heart choosing a quiet resolve and a confident trust in the Trustworthy One. He does a better job everyday anyway! I actively remind myself to rest in “His will, His way” vs “my will, my way” as He can make all things work together for my good.
Remember, all you can do is all you can do. You must trust God to do that which you cannot do. In your weakness, He is your strength. Can you let go of your grip of control, or the lack thereof, to trust His peace and provision?
Ponder:
How is the weight of your anxiety exhausting you? Do you have enough time and energy to spend on things beyond your control?
Prayer:
Oh Lord, help me be anxious for NO THING and trust You with EVERYTHING today. I bring my overwhelming exhaustion to Your feet and resolve to trust in You. You are trustworthy. This will quiet the voice of my anxious heart.
About this Plan
Everyday we face the battlefield of all the VOICES we hear and all the CHOICES we need to make. This battlefield is real and often confusing. This is the 2nd part of a 3-part Bible plan. Join Roxanne Parks as she defines the battlefield (Part#1), clarifies the VOICE of the enemy (Part #2) and offers CHOICES of living and walking in truth (Part #3).
