Fearless

DAY 3 OF 4

I’m overwhelmed by Your power. Your unsurpassable ways. You’re the one who was and is to come. I lift my hands up to You. All things are possible through. The one who was and is to come. (ICF Worship - You Hold The Victory)

There is ultimately nothing that is impossible for God. Nothing too high or low, too complex or difficult. Jesus explains to his disciples in the Gospel of Luke that “what is impossible with man is possible with God” (Lk 18,27). The Evangelist Luke also says that “no word from God will ever fail” (Lk 1,37).

Can you imagine how our lives would change if we started acting upon this promise of God’s unfailing power? If we dare to believe it and base our decisions on this truth? Would we live more boldly? Courageously tell more people about Jesus? And take more territory for our Saviour who gave his all to give us the victory from sin? If we decide to play on God’s winning team, we can achieve anything because he has promised to arm us with strength for battle (Ps 18,39).

What if we knew without the shadow of a doubt that we are on the winning team? The game is still happening and the opposing team scores against us at times, but we know without the shadow of a doubt that we scored far too many goals for the other team to beat us and in the end we will walk out of this game victoriously.

It’s like that in real life, too. We have the victory through Jesus’ accomplishment on the cross and there is nothing that can take it away from us!

Why don’t you start asking Jesus – the one who was and is and will forever be – to reveal more of his power to you today? Ask him to let you see that there is nothing impossible with him. Ask him to show you areas of your life where you don’t yet live as though you’re on the winning team. Let him reveal to you what your life would look like if you truly believed in his unfailing power.
