Full Of Thanks. Be Thankful.
“Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.” Psalms 100:4 KJV
According to Strong’s Concordance, the Hebrew word for “Thanksgiving” is, ‘towdah’ (H8426) which means, “Confession, praise, to give praise to God, thank-offering, sacrifice of thanksgiving, thanksgiving in songs of liturgical worship, hymn of praise.”
Give thanks to God. Make it a daily practice to thank Him. Make it a daily habit to confess and to declare His marvelous works. Surrender your heart to Him. Surrender your life to Christ. Give God the fruit of your lips by offering Him a sacrifice of thanksgiving.
When the spirit of heaviness tries to weigh you down — choose to break its hold by giving God thanks. When worry and doubt try to choke the ground of your heart — choose to give God thanks. Choose to be thankful and let not your heart grow bitter. Praise is the medicine to heal a hardened heart. Praise will break the bondage of bitterness.
According to Strong’s Concordance, the Hebrew word for “Enter” is, ‘bow’ (H935) which means, “To go in, come, go, come in.” Come before Him with thanksgiving. Enter into His Presence with praise. Bow before God and thank Him for the good that He has done.
Let your life revolve around praise. Choose to bless Him. Choose to thank Him and you will break the cycle of defeat, worry, guilt and depression. Psalm 100:4 AMPC declares, “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and a thank offering and into His courts with praise! Be thankful and say so to Him, bless and affectionately praise His name!”
