Running From The Heart

DAY 4 OF 31

A Christian Lifestyle

We are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us.

We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!” (2 Corinthians 5:20)

Rebecca was humbled to be invited to write an article for a Christian magazine in which she explained how to live the Christian lifestyle.

Jesus said, “As the Father has sent Me, I am sending you.” Spend a lot of time praying for your friends and family (we found lists of people she was praying for in her journal). Through prayer, seek God’s heart, wisdom and direction, for our battle takes place in the Heavenly realm. Be intentional about going into the community and building relationships. Listen and respect others, even if you disagree. Never judge but always love. Our job is to bring Jesus’ love into others’ lives; simply doing life and showing interest in others is an important step to allowing God’s Spirit to work through us.

Dress in the wardrobe God picked out for you: compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength... And regardless of what else you put on, wear love. (Colossians 3:12 and 14)

Selah

You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses. (Acts 1:8)

Be an ambassador extraordinaire. It is not the length of days that profit you, but the days in His service, bringing glory to God.

How can you share God’s love and make a difference for the people that God has placed in your life?

Passing the Baton:

Live a lifestyle that attracts people to Jesus. Beautiful are those who bring the “Good News.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, please give me your heart for the people you have and will bring into in my life. Help me to remember that I am your eyes, ears, hands and voice on Earth. Please help me to be your ambassador, sharing your love and kindness revealed in Jesus Christ. Amen.

About this Plan

Running From The Heart

Running from the Heart was written from the broken heart of a mother as a legacy to her beautiful daughter, Rebecca, who unexpectedly, was called home to Heaven. Each devotional is based on Rebecca's journal entries that speak of a life well lived. We pray that each devotional will inspire you on your own spiritual journey, to live a courageous life for Jesus Christ.
