Running From The Heartનમૂનો
Purpose
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11)
“I want to see the purpose of God in my generation and live my life for something that will last forever…"
These powerful words were Rebecca’s heart cry and she came to see that God’s plans and purpose for her could only be learned through affliction and a broken heart.
“I am seeing new things, perhaps the struggle, this illness, has helped me see things in a new way, and that is a positive outcome. I would never have understood the depths of purpose, if God had not brought me through the afflictions of my life. Bringing me to see the reality of surrendering my plans, seeing they are not always the best direction for me. That God is in control. Many things have happened that are out of my control, but through it all I see the purpose of God for my life through my broken heart. If God chose to break my heart I can thank him to bring His purpose through my broken heart.
In quietness and trust is my strength. I thought I understood but in my weakness and brokenness I have learned that God is my strength and He is my hope.”
Rebecca took her pain and questions to God and her prayers were full of faith as she trusted in the promise of God’s word.
“Dear Lord, thank you for your perfect plans, your perfect timing, your perfect promises.
I trust you my God and savior... I want to follow you with my whole heart. Amen.”
Selah
In quietness and trust is your strength. (Isaiah 30:15)
God has a purpose and a plan for your life and shapes you through your life’s journey. The family you were born into, your gifts, your experiences, the Bible, godly council and prayer are all ways the Lord guides you into His purpose and plan for your life. Quietness and trusting in God is the key to your strength. He will give you all that you need for the race He has planned for you.
Passing the Baton:
With a confident step, live your life for something that will last forever.
Prayer:
Dear God, thank you for the plans you have for me. Please fill me with the knowledge of your will and give me the courage to go your way and not the way of the world. Amen.
