Hand Picked Designer Labeled: That’s You!
Labels are everywhere! If you look around, you can find them in places you never thought you'd see them. Unfortunately, people can place labels on other human beings that aren't very kind. Maybe you always seem to find yourself labeled something negative. You probably just accepted the label without knowing how to fight back or reject it. As women, we can often find ways of hurting each other with our words, which can cause emotional and spiritual damage. When you've already experienced so much hurt and pain, it can be tough to recover every time somebody opens a fresh wound.
It may be comforting to know that God labeled you before you were even born. Not only did he know your name, but he also knew everything about your personality, your gifting, and your talents. The best news of all is that he has made a way for everything bad that has ever been done to you to be completely erased. Just like that, with one word – one act, it's all gone! You might be saying, "I don't feel like it's gone." All you need to do is to accept the act of love that Christ did when he went to the cross and died. That act was called Redemption. It means that he cleared the slate and wiped it clean from now until eternity for all of mankind – if they will accept it. That's the key right there…acceptance. Give it a try. Trade in your damaging labels for God's forgiveness and you get to pick a brand new designer label - Daughter of the King!
Talk to the King| Prayer
God, I have been blindly accepting the labels that have been put on me by other people. Today I want to strip off those labels and begin my new identity in you. Show me what to do and how to accept the free gift of redemption. Like your daughter, I want to learn from your word where to find new labels to identify myself with so that I can continue to grow.
