Facing Anxietyનમૂનો
WHEN IT'S NOT ENOUGH
Over the past five days, we’ve tried to share with you what God has to say about anxiety, as well as some practical tools you can use to manage it. These tips and tricks can be extremely helpful in most situations involving anxiety – even seasons of life where our anxiety feels like it's totally out of control. However, there are certainly times and situations where more help is needed. Sometimes, we need to see a counselor or a therapist – someone who can help us really dig in to why we’re thinking or feeling a certain way. Sometimes, there’s a legit chemical imbalance going on in our brains, and medicine can be a necessary cure.
Whatever the case may be for you, let me say something very clearly: there is absolutely no shame in getting the help you need when you need it. None of us can handle everything on our own, and God has given us mental health and medical professionals for a reason. Sometimes, we just need some extra help getting through something, and it's actually a very brave move to admit you need that help.
So, if you regularly wrestle with anxiety, work hard at the habits we’ve talked about the last few days. Maybe commit some of those key verses to memory and say them to yourself whenever you feel anxiety rising. But if you’re dealing with some severe anxiety and it doesn’t seem to be getting better, please have the courage to talk to your parents or guardians about going to see someone who can provide a bit more help. God loves you so much, and He doesn’t want you to live in constant fear or anxiety. He has something so much better in store for you, and I promise – there is hope, there is life beyond anxiety.
