A Father’s Blessingનમૂનો
Legacy. Who’s Next?
Proverbs 13:22 AMPC states, “A good man leaves an inheritance [of moral stability and goodness] to his children's children, and the wealth of the sinner [finds its way eventually] into the hands of the righteous, for whom it was laid up.” A good father leaves a spiritual and natural inheritance of moral stability and goodness for his natural and spiritual children.
Fathers have the responsibility to lead and to lay the spiritual and natural foundation for the next generation. Sons and daughters springboard off the character of the previous generation. What example have you set? Solomon’s kingship was launched off the character, discipline and diligence of David — his father.
Fathers have the responsibility to diligently steward their resources and their spiritual and natural reputation. Fathers have the responsibility to lead and to set the diligence pattern for the next generation. Proverbs 10:4 AMPC states, “He becomes poor who works with a slack and idle hand, but the hand of the diligent makes rich.”
As a father, your children follow your example of diligence. As a father, you have the opportunity to break the generational cycle of poverty, like David, by executing in diligence. Or you can keep your family in a cycle by dealing with a slack or an idle hand. Your obedience or disobedience establishes the generational pattern. You choose. What pattern would you like to set for the next generation?
