Shift Your Thinking For A Deeper Faithનમૂનો
Day Two
An Easy Yoke
Scripture: Matthew 11:28–30
Most of the effectiveness of our day-to-day Christian walk comes from our capacity to respond to life through the lens of God’s promises. This practice has a way of taking a mindset filled with too many question marks and replacing them with more confident exclamation points. When we own the amazing work God said is already complete in us, we thrive by allowing the rhythm of those blessings to drive all we are and everything we do. We consciously choose that easy yoke and light burden we often hear about but seldom experience.
For our benefit, God provided hundreds of promises to make a powerful yet seemingly elusive point: we have been equipped with everything we need to live in victory, serve others, and have dominion over everything here on earth—every thought, emotion, relationship, agenda, problem, vision . . . you name it! This means that as a believer, the only thing we need to move toward in this life is a more resolute acceptance and ownership of what is already done in us—then live freely and confidently in recognition of that while loving God and loving others. The full power of God’s resources is never an attainment or an achievement away, it is always a belief away: trusting what God said is true about the brilliant nature of you and all you currently possess!
Take these four truths, for example:
1. You already have unlimited power and wisdom available in God.
2. He delivers value in all your present circumstances, catastrophic or not.
3. His Spirit resides inside you and can never leave you, ever, so you currently carry his presence and power.
4. All the fruit of the Spirit is available at full potency through aligning our thoughts to God’s Word and renewing our mind.
There are many more truths to learn, but the practice and eventual habit of embracing our inheritance through just these four promises before any conversation, meeting, initiative, or vision will bring our spiritual assets to an on-demand status. As for the outcomes of this real-time adoption, they will be nothing short of, well again . . . what he has already promised!
What is one way believing the four truths above would change your perspective on the week ahead?
