Be The Lightનમૂનો
So, about the moon...
So, about the moon... It was over half a century ago that we (or really NASA) put a man on the moon.
It was a huge undertaking, President Kennedy said, “We choose to go to the moon, not because it is easy, but because it is hard.” And by the efforts of countless individuals less than 7 years later it happened: Neil was on the moon and uttered the now famous words, “One small step for man…”
But did you know the moon doesn’t produce its own light? Call me nerdy but this kind of stuff interests me.
You see, the moon only reflects light from the sun.
When Jesus walked and taught, He told people He was the “Light of the World.” If Jesus is the source of light, then we are supposed to be His reflectors. He is like the sun: burning with intensity, and we are like the moon, reflecting His light into the darkness of night.
1. THINK ABOUT IT! Have I embraced my part in shining the light of Jesus into the world?
2. REFLECT! Do those around me see Jesus’ light in me? Why or why not?
3. PRAY! Jesus, help me to reflect Your goodness into the world today.
