Step 4 | Build Collaborative Teams
Yesterday we discussed how Nehemiah chose the individuals to lead the charge in building this new wall. After “Leveraging the Right Leaders,” the fourth step Nehemiah took was to “Build Collaborative Teams.”
There were 41 sections of the wall around Jerusalem that needed repair. Each team could have focused on their section of the wall, but without collaboration, their wall would become an island easily toppled.
They needed to work together to not only accomplish the bigger goal of rebuilding the wall, but also to fight off their enemies.
In Nehemiah 4:16 we read, “From that day on, half of my men did the work, while the other half were equipped with spears, shields, bows and armor.”
By building collaborative teams, Nehemiah overcame his enemies. If you desire a strong successful organization, build collaborative teams.
