Prayer: Talking To The God Of The Universeનમૂનો
God, They Need You
God is searching for people of faith who are willing to plead on the behalf of others for the mercy of God. Are you “standing in the gap” for someone today? Be encouraged. Your prayers will move God and He will come through for you.
Our closest earthly relationships tend to occupy a large part of our prayer requests, and rightly so. As we pray for our family and close friends, we should remember to follow God’s instructions confidently, faithfully, and patiently, “so that your prayers will not be hindered” (1 Peter 3:7).
We can also pray for our nation’s leaders. As we pray for our country, we have God’s promise from 2 Chronicles 7:14: “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” God controls the destinies of nations, and that knowledge gives us confidence that our prayers really do make a difference in this world.
Another group of people we can pray for is those who do not know Christ. When you pray for the lost, you are praying according to God’s will, because “the Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9).
Lastly, we can pray for other believers (see Ephesians 3:14-19). Especially, we must make it a point to pray for our pastors, that they may be sustained as they preach the Word (see Colossians 4:3-4).
