ENOUGH: A NEW START

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

I love this time of year. It gives us space to turn our eyes on Jesus. As the old hymn goes, “when we look full in his wonderful face the things of this world grow strangely dim”. 

At times this is easier said than done, and I wonder how difficult it must be for families who live in slums, surrounded by garbage and waste, with no escape from the pollution all around. Knowing God’s heart, it’s clear that He wants so much more for them.

Heavenly Father, You desperately want more for Your children. We pray You bless those who suffer and enable them to step into a better future in a cleaner, safer environment. Restore our world we pray. Amen.
