21 Days to a Victorious Lifeનમૂનો
Day 20 – Disobedience blocks blessings!
While I have made many great choices in life, the fact remains there are some choices that were not so great, especially in the area of relationships. But
through it all, the good and the bad, everything has all worked together for my good, read Romans 8:28. As I look back over past relationships, being young
and naive, I used my own wisdom and selected relationships based on the world’s knowledge, while completely ignoring the Word of God.
Be obedient to Him
I know I am not alone. There have been many relationships where I was disobedient, causing great relationships to fail, or creating connections with
persons who were not of God. The Word makes it clear. Light has no place with darkness and also it warns us to not be unequally yoked, refer to 2
Corinthians 6:14.
Not fully understanding God’s Word, or simply being disobedient, I allowed the devil to trick me into thinking being in relationships with others who were
not of God, or who operated in a worldly way, would lead to successful relationships. Therefore, I operated many relationships “out of order.”
Disobedience can affect everyone
Being a child of divorced parents, I understand how the choices of a relationship can impact others. While growing up, my siblings and I often had to share
holidays between two households, spend limited time with our father, and often had to choose which parent to share great news with first. However, while
there were some rocky times during our childhood, it is a blessing today that we can all be together as one.
In the book of Jonah, God instructed Jonah to travel to Nineveh; however Jonah was disobedient and decided to travel by ship to Tarshish instead. Because
of his disobedience, the Lord sent a great wind into the sea, which not only affected him, but every person on the ship. This is a great reminder that if
we are disobedient and enter into a wrong relationship, it will not only impact us, but may impact our close family and friends as well.
About this Plan
21 Days of Victorious Living is designed to provide daily devotions to walk in victory. In God's Word, He says we are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37). Not in some areas of our lives, but in all areas. It is His will that our souls (salvation), wealth (finances) and affairs (relationships) align with God. It is in this place, we will obtain victory after victory!
