Those who trust in themselves are fools, but those who walk in wisdom are kept safe. Pray that you will walk wisely.

In our culture the word ‘fool’ often means someone with low intelligence. In biblical usage a fool could have a high IQ and be prosperous, yet they were people who ignored God’s wisdom, preferring to be guided by their own understanding or the thoughts of those around them.
