Worship Central—Stir A Passionનમૂનો
WAVES DEVOTIONAL
Our lives are hectic. There is very little respite from modern 21st Century living where digital multimedia is ubiquitous and demands our attention without ceasing, where nearly everything can be purchased and delivered at the click of a button and where often the drive to achieve leads to compromise and becomes prioritized over deep relationships.
In the madness, it can become more and more difficult for any other reality to take hold other than one that says our worlds revolve around ourselves.
The invitation of God, however, very much counters this narrative. The invitation of God is to routinely escape the hurry and to be refreshed in His presence, and to see things differently. To be shown a deeper reality.
Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.—Matthew 11:28–30 The Message
We’re led out of the chaos of our lives and into the wide open space of His presence, a place where we can drink from the true fountain of all life and refreshment. It’s here where we regain a true perspective—that God is God, and not ourselves. Regaining that perspective regularly is perhaps one of the most important exercises we can do in our lives—remembering that all true joy and hope comes from that holy river of the presence of God. This is the source of true peace.
All throughout the Bible, we are reminded to do this one thing—to "be still and know that I AM God" (Psalm 46).
Today, try that. Be still, calm the surrounding noise, and recognize that God is all that He says He is.
"Be still and know that I AM God."

About this Plan
“Stir a passion in my heart, God. Let it overflow, let it overflow…” In this 5-day series of devotionals, the team from WORSHIP CENTRAL addresses topics related to renewing our passion for Jesus and for His kingdom in the midst of the struggles and “busyness” of the everyday. These devotionals are for the person who is “counting their blessings” AND for the person who’s barely hanging on. May we see situations and people (including ourselves) as He sees them. May our hearts be open to His will, as we sit at the feet of Jesus.
