Overview Of The Gospelsનમૂનો
The book of Mark is written to disciples, blending the two main topics of leadership and service. Mark unfolds what it means to serve as a leader and to lead as a servant, because both of these elements are included in what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ in discipleship.
Discipleship is that process whereby we progressively learn what it means to bring every area of life under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. The Gospel of Mark takes us on a pilgrimage as Jesus taught His disciples who He was and what He was about, and what it meant to follow Him. And they had a lot to learn, because they had a lot of the world in them, arguing about who was going to be the greatest in the kingdom.
Jesus had to turn all that upside down, so He showed them that leadership comes through service, and that service was a great way to lead.
Jesus demonstrated that in Mark by His titles, for He is called both Son of God and Son of Man. He serves the purposes of God, and yet He does so among the needs of people, because Jesus is both divine and human. Our challenge in studying Mark is to learn from Jesus’ example how to lead and how to serve.
