Back To School!નમૂનો
God Is With You
How do you get to school? Do you ride the bus or maybe walk? As you prepare for another school year, let’s take a look at how kids around the world get to school.
Some kids in the Philippines take a ride in a canoe made from the trunk of a huge coconut tree! Before they had access to the canoe, they used to swim!
In Bolivia, some kids hike for over an hour to get to school.
In Indonesia, this girl hitches a ride on the back of her friend’s bike! Did you know that bicycles are the world’s favorite form of transportation? Other kids in Indonesia walk more than 4 miles every day for school.
In Sri Lanka, you’ll see a group of schoolchildren waiting by the river for their ride to school in a canoe! During monsoon season, the river floods and the kids stay home to learn.
In Bangladesh, the kids often get to school on a rickshaw.
In the remote village of Ngandong in Indonesia, kids ride on the back of a truck for over 5 miles. Their village is isolated from the outside world and the walk takes 2 hours. The Compassion center hires a ride for them.
No matter how you get to school, remember that you are not alone. In Hebrews 13:5-6, God has a promise just for you! He promises to be with you each step of the way. Whether you are excited to go back to school or feeling stressed just at the thought, He is with you. He knows your heart. He knows how you are feeling.
There’s a fancy word for it—omnipresence. In Latin, omni means “all.” That means that God is present everywhere. Acts 17:27 says that God is not far from any one of us. His presence overcomes our fear and worry. God is near. He wants you to talk to Him and share your day with Him.
