Our Proverbs 31 woman is characterised by her strength. Strength comes from security and security comes from identity - knowing who we are and whose we are. 

Consider: Daughters of the king 

Have you found your true identity? Do you realise that you are royalty? You are God’s child, a daughter of the King. You have a heavenly Father who delights in you and knows how many hairs are on your head. There is no obstacle that He cannot help you overcome and no pain that is too deep for Him to heal. All you have to do is ask - you have unrestricted access. You don’t need knock on the door and wait. You don’t need to book an appointment or schedule a FaceTime. As a daughter of the King, you are precious, chosen, redeemed and free.

Context: Why bother?

We have all had different experiences of what an earthly father is like and what it means to be a daughter. Some have had good experiences and some have been bad. How we view our earthly father will affect how we view God. Often, we can think that God relates to us in the same way that our earthly dads do. But we know that God is a good Father who wants good things for His children. Maybe it feels like God is hiding from you but let me tell you that God wants to be found by His children. Maybe you think that your plans for your life are better than God’s but let me tell you that your Father has greater plans for you. 

You were bought at an incredibly high price. The value of something is determined by how much someone will pay for it. You were bought at the cost of Jesus’ life. He sent His only son to die in your place.
