Jour 18 sur 31

A Prayer of Protection

In the fight against human trafficking some are raiding brothels and hotel rooms. Some are doing outreach to those involved in street-level trafficking. Some are casting out the darkness with the light of Christ to bring hope, healing, and justice in courthouses, prisons, and safe houses. We are encroaching on the enemy’s work and abolitionists from all over are asking for prayers of protection.

Dear Most High,

I pray for protection over each person engaged in anti-trafficking efforts. Teach us to dwell in your shelter so we will rest in your shadow. You will cover us with your feathers and under your wings we will find refuge. Your faithfulness will be our shield and rampart. (Ps. 91:1,4) Let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them that those who love your name may rejoice in you. (Ps. 5:11) We are trusting in you as we combat the dark industry of human trafficking.

You are a shield around us, O Lord. (Ps. 3:3) Your name is a Strong Tower, the righteous run to it and are safe. (Prov. 18:10) For you have been our Refuge—a Strong Tower against the foe. (Ps. 61:2-3) Let us not be afraid, for you are our Shield, our Great Reward, our Helper and Glorious Sword. (Gen. 15:1; Deut. 33:29) Truly you are our Rock, Salvation, and Fortress. We will not be shaken. (Ps. 62:6) Thank you for protecting us. In Jesus’ name, amen.
