Fight for the Faith: A Prayer Journey Thru JudeExemple
Day 16
May the Lord Jesus Christ keep His church pure—free from the following kinds of people that Jude warned us about who stir up evil from within the church: “These are grumblers, malcontents, following their own sinful desires; they are loud-mouthed boasters, showing favoritism to gain advantage” (16).
We must remember to walk humbly before the Lord, keeping in mind that we were among such people in desperate need of salvation. Paul the apostle put it this way: “And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God” (1 Corinthians 6:11).
Father God, first, please look within my heart and purify me from any such evil. Change my heart, oh God (Psalm 51:10)! Second, enable me to humbly, graciously, yet directly confront such people who would seek to sow weeds among Your flourishing harvest!
À propos de ce plan
Jesus said that we will know the truth, and the truth will set us free (John 8:31-32). Yet our enemy, the devil, is bent on twisting God’s truth in his all-out efforts to "steal, kill, and destroy" (John 10:10). The epistle of Jude exhorts us to contend for truth. Let’s pray through Jude, and be emboldened today to fight for the faith!
