All Things Work Together For Your GoodExemple
There is a calling on your life!
In addition to taking care of you, God is calling you to great things for Him and making you a participant of His glory! If you happen to forget His calling on your life, God will not cease to remind you of it:
“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” (Romans 8:28)
When I was a young Christian, in a very specific moment, the Lord caused me to realize what He was calling me to: “I, the Lord, have called you to demonstrate my righteousness. I will take you by the hand and guard you, and I will give you to my people, Israel, as a symbol of my covenant with them. And you will be a light to guide the nations.” (see Isaiah 42:6)
Shortly afterwards, when I was doubting His calling on my life, the Lord reminded me of this verse: “For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.” (Romans 11:29)
The divine calling on my life and on yours is irrevocable! Yes, God has called you! To salvation, to repentance, to His love, to His life, to a destiny, to eternity. He has called you to be part of His family, the family of God...and every day, He is calling you to Him.
Here are two promises from the Bible to meditate on from God, who calls you by your name:
- “And I will give you treasures hidden in the darkness—secret riches. I will do this so you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel, the one who calls you by name.” (Isaiah 45:3)
- “But now, O Jacob, listen to the Lord who created you. O Israel, the one who formed you says, “Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.” (Isaiah 43:1-2)
God is calling you, too, to serve Him. He put a gifting in you. He has a plan for your life. He has given you talents that He is calling you to develop for His glory!
Thanks for existing!
