10 Things That Must Be Involved in Your Thanksgivingنمونه
BE SPECIFIC
(6) It must be specific, not generalized
Don’t be general when you're doing thanksgiving. Make a habit of writing down the doings of the Lord as it happens. You can’t remember everything that happened, but there should be certain things and occasions you cannot forget. They are indelible in your mind and your memory; it was God that was there.
As a pastor, I’ve been in the trenches of battles with people. I preach faith, I believe in the power of God to intervene, I’ve cried with people, I’ve been there, I’ve looked into the faces of people, and I’ve seen panic, I’ve seen questions, I’ve seen terror, and God moved and turned things around. On the day of their thanksgiving, I come to thank God with them, and then, you see the guy come and say, ‘Lord, I just want to thank you.’ I say, ‘What are you doing? When you were crying, what happened? Now, God has turned your mourning into dancing; why can’t you dance?’
Yes, it is on such a day that you come before the Lord unashamedly. Thanksgiving does something to God in heaven; that is why God loved David so much. He never hid his feelings; he just expressed himself before God. Don’t be an ingrate before the Lord. Let God know that you are grateful.
For thanksgiving to be thanksgiving, you must recognize what was done.
PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for what You have done for me. I embrace a life of thanksgiving. With my mouth, I shall make known your faithfulness in Jesus’ name. Amen!
