Unpack This...Playing In The Super Bowlنمونه
What Do You Think Of His Supremacy?
In Super Bowl LV between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the outcome was all too familiar with Tom Brady holding up his 7th Super Bowl Trophy and his 5th Super Bowl MVP Award.
Most people expected the Chiefs to repeat as champions but Tampa Bay outplayed and outcoached them by winning 31-9.
Brady was impressive once again and his ability to achieve his highest QB rating of the ten Super Bowls he’s played in (at age 43 during his first season in Tampa) was unimaginable.
Brady’s a superior competitor and an accomplished athlete, but how do we respond to his football supremacy?
Do we respect him, but have reservations about some of his qualities? Do we admire him for winning, but don’t believe he’s as great as everyone claims? Do we view other legendary QBs alongside him in greatness?
How we respond to Brady is one thing, but more importantly, how do we respond to the supremacy of Jesus Christ?
The Bible explains that Jesus is superior to the angels, lived a perfect life, and conquered death. If we think Tom Brady’s football accomplishments are incomprehensible, think about describing the Creator of the universe and responding to His greatness!
We need to ask ourselves if we only respect Jesus as a good teacher, and have reservations about other things He’s known for. Do we admire Him for changing lives, but discredit other claims made about Him? Do we view some religious leaders up there with Him in greatness?
Believing in Jesus' supremacy and trusting that He is who He says He is, affects our lives now and for eternity.
In Matthew 16:15-16, Jesus asks, “But what about you? Who do you say I am? Simon Peter answered, ‘You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.’”
Hopefully, this is our answer when choosing to follow Jesus. By keeping our eyes fixed on His supremacy, presence, grace, and power, our lives are marked by humble praise, worship, devotion, and adoration for the One who saves and redeems us. He’s worthy of all the glory and honor!

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, thank you for sending Jesus to live the perfect life and conquer sin and death. Help me respond with praise and worship in the way I live my life. It’s in the powerful name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
