In the Café (workplace) 

Anyone remember promise rings?! Well friends, I have one myself, but it’s a little bit different to the usual. As the salt of the earth, we as Christians have wild opportunities to speak life and truth through our different spheres.

In recent months, God has been challenging me to not only pray for my co-workers at work, but also when at home, that I would take spreading the gospel seriously and intentionally, to be prayerful and loving in spreading God’s name in all I do. A few weeks after receiving that revelation, my manager flippantly gave me a ring of hers that didn’t fit so great, and before I had the opportunity to hide it somewhere in my jewellery box forever, God spoke to me and said, “this ring represents the promises that are still to come in your workplace – people are going to come to know me my love!” In these times, do we hold true to the promises that we’re given? Do we believe with our whole hearts that He can move mountains, that He can change a heart in a beat? Friends, we can’t always grasp the fullness of God, nor can we ever know the promises that He has for our future at the moment, but we can continue to believe and know that He has the best in mind for us. 

So with that in mind, what are the promises that God has given you? Do you let God work through you even when you don’t feel like it or are not comfortable? And how are you believing within your workplace that your co-workers can come to know the greatest gift of all? Keep your promise ring on. Believe for big things. 

Prayer: Dear Lord, we know that You have ALL things sorted out, whether that be in finances, or seeing co-workers come to know You, Jesus. We pray that WE would come to know You Jesus and believe for greater things that we could do ourselves. We are so thankful for You!
