DAY 3 OF 7

How can I be a success after I've failed?

Everyone wants to be a success, but not every time we succeed. Failure is a common experience each one of us faces at some point in life. We all have our down-times and sometimes our list of failures is longer than our list of achievements. You not being selected in the first round of interview doesn’t mean you won’t get a job. Or you fail a class, that doesn’t mean you can't do better in your studies. You missed out the first rank title by just a whisker, that doesn’t mean you're a failure! Many books are written on ’How to be a success’, but few are there that help you deal with failure. But failure doesn’t mean that it’s the end of the road.

There are countless stories of people who have failed repeatedly yet have stood the test and made it better in life. Thomas Edison's teachers said he was too stupid to learn anything.  He was fired from his first two jobs for being nonproductive. As an inventor Edison made 1000 unsuccessful attempts at inventing the light bulb. When a reporter asked, "how did it feel to fail 1000 times?", Edison replied, "I didn't fail a thousand times. The light bulb was an invention with 1000 steps."

It’s easy to give up when you have failed, because that's the easy way out. It requires grit and a lot of help from Jesus to stand up on your feet again and take another step. Today, if you're on the brink of giving up, run to Jesus. Ask Him to help you rise up when you don't do well in life. His amazing grace will help you, give you strength to accept failure and strive to do better. Rise Up! Choose to think positive. Make another attempt. If you fail again, try again!

Prayer

Jesus, my life is in Your hands. Thank you for all the good times but, help me to accept times when I have failed. Give me strength, so I don’t give up. Help me to know that even in my failures you have the best plans for me. In Jesus Name. Amen!
