God Calls Us to Repentance - Day 6

Do you ever want to just go with the flow? Sure, the world has turned its back on God and generally chooses selfishness, hate, and greed over righteousness. But standing up for what’s right can be embarrassing and difficult. You may even be ridiculed, shamed, or attacked for following Jesus. Wouldn’t it just be easier to do what everyone else is doing?

Yes, that may be easier in the moment, but God has better plans for us. As humans, we’ve all sinned, but Jesus paid our price, and now he calls us to repent. Our lives may become more difficult with those around us, but repentance brings us into right relationship with God—the relationship our Creator designed us for. And God sees how we may hurt or suffer because of our choice to follow Him. He has a special place in the throne room for those who are persecuted on his behalf.

Let’s choose to repent today and enjoy intimacy with our holy Father.
