DAY 33 OF 40

We Have an Eternal Home - Day 33

Do you feel like your life has begun yet? Many of us have arbitrary events or ages that we believe will mark the true beginning of our lives. This may be turning 18, graduating from college, getting married, having children, or accomplishing a specific career goal. While it is foolish to believe our lives do not begin until we are a certain age or until we accomplish certain things, it is true that the fullest version of our lives will not begin until our earthly lives end. Our earthly lives are but a shadow of things to come. They serve as a beautiful foreshadowing of what awaits us in eternity. In 1 Corinthians, the Apostle Paul writes that, during our lives here on Earth, we see through a mirror dimly, but that, one day, we will see our Lord face to face. We will experience Him in an entirely new way. Today, take a moment to sit and reflect on what it might be like when you finally see Jesus face to face.
