God's Redemption Story (Revelation)

DAY 37 OF 40

The Final Victory - Day 37

When God created the earth, the Garden of Eden was a place he could be with the children he loved, Adam and Eve. But when they sinned, they could no longer be in the garden; they couldn’t be with him. When God led Moses and the Hebrews out of Egypt, he instructed them to build a tabernacle, a tent where a small piece of his presence could be among them. Jesus died and rose again to make us clean enough that we could again enjoy his presence, but still in measure. So he sent his Holy Spirit to live within us.

One day soon, Jesus will defeat our old enemy, Satan, and destroy this world entirely. Then, he will create a new Jerusalem where we will live with him. No longer will we have a tent made by man or a tiny piece of God in our hearts. We’ll get to live with him in his home all the time. Hallelujah!
