A Spirit of Excellence

Samuel Truett Cathy built a name for himself and his business, Chick-fil-A, by pairing good fast food with excellent customer service. To this day, that’s what Cathy and Chick-fil-A are known for. After learning of the high-quality service and good food, people across America flock to his restaurants.

In my neighborhood, the Chick-fil-A drive-thru line is always long. When the line is that long, good food isn’t always enough. Excellent customer service can make the whole experience worth the wait.

God has a reputation for excellence in how he deals with his children. Our majestic God approaches everything he does with excellence—from creating the first fish during creation to the latest healing in a hospital room. He allows his children to tap into his Spirit of excellence, as well, so no matter what we make or whatever we’ve been through to make it, our creations can reflect the excellent creativity of our king.

Whatever your current reputation is, when you begin to reimagine your life by joining with God, you can be known for a spirit of excellence in everything you say and do. Together with God, you can create something excellent, something majestic. Why not start today?

Prayer:

Lord God, thank you for your Spirit of excellence, your majesty. Please reveal to us what no eye has seen, no ear heard, nor mind imagined. Please reveal to us the excellent, majestic things You’ve prepared for us to do and enable us to do them. Lord, we want to be known for creating things so excellent that only you can get the glory. In the majestic name of Jesus, amen.
