A Great Harvest

DAY 1 OF 8

A Great Harvest

Have you ever paused to see people as Jesus sees them? His perspective can transform our hearts and inspire our actions.

In Matthew 9:35-38, we find Jesus traveling through cities and villages, teaching, healing, and proclaiming the gospel. His deep compassion is evident as He sees the crowds as "harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd". This wasn't just a fleeting feeling; it was the foundation of His ministry.

Jesus reminds us that "the harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few". The people in our communities—our families, coworkers, and neighbours—are the harvest. They may not know it, but their hearts are ready for the good news of salvation. Like Jesus, we must cultivate a compassionate heart toward the lost, asking God to help us see people as He does.

Compassion begins with prayer. Pray for God to soften your heart toward those around you. Ask Him to show you opportunities to share His love and truth. When we pray with an open heart, we align with His will and gain the strength to be workers in His harvest.
