We Grow: A Journey of Drawing Closer to GodSample
Day 74 of 365
In Numbers 13, the spies return from Canaan, describing its abundance, but fear overshadows their faith as they focus on the giants instead of God’s promises. Caleb and Joshua urge the people to trust God, but doubt leads the nation to rebellion and missed blessings.
This struggle between fear and faith echoes in Mark 14, where Jesus predicts Peter’s denial. Despite Peter’s confidence in his loyalty, fear overtakes him, and he denies Christ. Yet Jesus, knowing Peter’s failure, extends grace and restores him. The Holy Spirit transforms doubt into trust when we surrender our fears to Him.
These passages show that faith grows through challenges as we rely on God. Like Caleb, Joshua, and Peter, we’re called to move past fear and trust in God’s faithfulness.
Today, invite the Holy Spirit to strengthen your faith. Where do doubts hold you back? Trust that God’s promises are greater than any obstacle you face.
