Good Faith

DAY 6 OF 20

Are you the kind of person who easily believes something you hear, see, or read? Or are you more of a skeptic? In this day and age, we’ve likely all grown a little more skeptical over time. In the age of misinformation, AI, social media, and viral news, we’ve all had to learn to question things a little more than we used to. The same may even be true of your faith. Maybe when you first started following Jesus, you felt sure of everything right away. Your life was changed, your heart was changed, and your faith felt strong from the start. But as time went on, so did life. And life, as you know, isn’t always easy.

When challenges come, painful things happen, or hard times hit, then our faith feels shaken. It’s harder to believe in what we can’t see. Well, as the writer of Hebrews reminds us, that’s what faith is. It’s the confidence that we can put our hope in God for more than what we see and experience today. It’s an assurance in what we know to be true about God in any season—including the most challenging. Share this verse with someone close in your life. Talk to them about the challenges or questions you have about faith. Then, share the ways you’ve experienced God already in your life to remind yourself of the assurance you can have in Him.

About this Plan

Good Faith

We’re told to have faith that certain things will happen, to put our faith in ourselves, to keep the faith, to be faithful. But while phrases like that get tossed around in our vocabulary all the time, have you ever stopped to wonder what faith is really all about? At its core, faith is all trust, hope, and confidence. In this devotional, we’ll look at how putting our faith in Jesus shapes the way we live.
